A dear friend and special sister in Christ shared a verse of scripture with me that was on her heart this week.
It’s a verse we’ve all looked at, probably numerous times. Sometimes on a certain day or during a particular situation, a part of God’s Word will specifically speak to us a bit louder.
Philippians 4:6 (NLT) “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.”
I was reading the verse over several times, realizing how powerful the words are. And tremendously simple. God doesn’t try to make things complicated. Don’t worry; (Notice how God keeps bringing TRUST to my attention recently?) pray; ask; be thankful. Trust. Pray. Ask. Thank.
Philippians 4:4 - 7 “Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
