Glory to God, Glory to God, Glory to God Forever! from "His Kindness Year Round"


Followers of Jesus know that without Him, we would have nothing, or be nothing.  It is only with Him and through Him we even exist.  So my question is, why do so many believers have difficulty acknowledging that fact . . . .

I’ve thought about this many times over the past months and the subject was brought up again recently in a conversation with a sister in Christ.  I love, love, love when I hear people say they are blessed because of the goodness and glory of God!  They are humble enough and love God enough to realize and speak that ALL the glory belongs to God and not of their own doing. 

Matthew 18:4 “Therefore, anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Readers, we do nothing on our own.  We don’t succeed on our own.  It’s ALL because of the glory and blessings of God and not of ourselves or anyone else. 

Psalm 138:9 “Though the Lord is great, He cares for the humble, but He keeps His distance from the proud.”

It blesses me immensely to hear someone say they are blessed because of God.  It warms my heart to hear someone say he or she didn’t accomplish a particular endeavor, but that all the honor and glory belongs to God.

Matthew 23:12 “Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Thank you, to all God’s followers who praise Him and glorify Him for all He has done.  To God be ALL the glory because of the great things He has done, is doing, and will continue to do!  Shout it!

Psalm 39:10 “I will praise Him from the bottom of my heart.”

Oh, a new message from God!!! from "His Kindness Year Round"

If you've read many posts, you may recall last December the Lord instructed me, and has continued, to "be still and wait", and to truly delve into His Word and with Him in prayer. 

I've worked diligently in doing this.  It's been a remarkable gain of knowledge and growth for me and in the Word of God.  After a prior very busy season, I learned how to rest and relax and wait upon His further instruction. 

1 Corinthians 16:13-14 "Be on guard.  Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous.  Be strong. And do everything with love."

As the weather began to warm this spring (one of my favorite seasons of the year), I began to get a bit antsy about waiting for His instruction. . . . . . the rejuvenation of the season encouraged me to 'do something' rather than wait.  I have waited His direction, but with less patience.

After a challenging past few weeks, I designated some special prayer time and meditation in the Word.  I knew the experience would be beneficial, whether or not I received a great revelation from the Lord or not.  I was also blessed with the honor to pray for a few sisters in Christ. 

I Corinthians 1:9 "God will do this, for He is faithful to do what He says, and He has invited you into partnership with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."

In regards to my personal requests, know what I heard?  "Be patient and wait!"  Yes, the Lord knows my increased impatience!  He knows the trial currently at hand.  I was given a step of guidance and then was told to be patient and wait

This reminded me of the fruits of the spirit in the writings of Paul.  Patience . . .

Galatians 5:22-23 "But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control."

But, at least a different message from the Lord.  And a very easy immediate next step to take -- but at least a step!  We're making progress!  I've now moved from 'be still and wait' to 'be patient and wait'!  At least I know there is something I am to be patient for . . . . . .

Psalm 62:1-2; 5 "I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him.  He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken."  "Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him."

And I am to continue to exercise my faith, because,

Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever."

I'm a work in progress, until eternity.

Rejoice! In spite of . . . from "His Kindness Year Round"

I have several blog posts sitting in the “draft box” . . . . . just waiting.  But until then, because I miss talking to you, I want to express some things I’ve been absorbing in my life.

Sometimes life feels tough.  That’s our soul (mind, will and emotions) telling us that. And with the help of satan, our soul can be pretty convincing about what we endure.

The more I read the writings of Paul, the more amazed I become at his remarkable ability to undergo sufferings and maintain great joy and peace.   Through it all – multiple beatings; being stoned; stranded at sea; shipwrecked; robbed; going without food or water or clothes; imprisoned, and the list goes on.  He faced great risks and enormous difficulties.

He suffered because of his great love and belief in His Messiah. 

Yet, in spite of all his circumstances, he felt blessed in his weaknesses to receive God’s devoted grace at all times.  He didn’t rejoice because of the circumstances, but because of his passion for the Savior.  He rejoiced in Jesus, not his daily occurrences.  He owned and displayed the supernatural joy from the Holy Spirit. 

Ya know, the feelings my soul tries to convince me of – nothing in comparison to what Paul underwent.  If the Holy Spirit lives in you, let’s rejoice because of the supernatural joy the Lord also provides us.  In spite of . . . . . .

Philippians 4:4 – 9 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.  Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
