Followers of Jesus know that without Him, we would have nothing, or be nothing. It is only with Him and through Him we even exist. So my question is, why do so many believers have difficulty acknowledging that fact . . . .
I’ve thought about this many times over the past months and the subject was brought up again recently in a conversation with a sister in Christ. I love, love, love when I hear people say they are blessed because of the goodness and glory of God! They are humble enough and love God enough to realize and speak that ALL the glory belongs to God and not of their own doing.
Matthew 18:4 “Therefore, anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven
Readers, we do nothing on our own. We don’t succeed on our own. It’s ALL because of the glory and blessings of God and not of ourselves or anyone else.
Psalm 138:9 “Though the Lord is great, He cares for the humble, but He keeps His distance from the proud.”
It blesses me immensely to hear someone say they are blessed because of God. It warms my heart to hear someone say he or she didn’t accomplish a particular endeavor, but that all the honor and glory belongs to God.
Matthew 23:12 “Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
Thank you, to all God’s followers who praise Him and glorify Him for all He has done. To God be ALL the glory because of the great things He has done, is doing, and will continue to do! Shout it!
Psalm 39:10 “I will praise Him from the bottom of my heart.”
